The humpback whale watching tour is not a regular SAIL IN RIO tour. Whales pass along the coast of Rio de Janeiro only between June and July, in search of warmer waters off the Brazilian coast, during their mating season.
Whale-watching tours are scheduled very carefully, in a short period of two months, and depend on sea conditions, wind, and the team's internal logistics.

We start at dawn, when sea conditions are very calm for navigation in the open seas.
As we get closer to the oceanic islands off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, the chances of seeing cetaceans increase.

Go to the access control cabin to pier A2 VAGA 27, identify yourself to the security guard, show your ticket and inform that you will board the sailboat KAMEHAMEHA.

WHAT TO EXPECT
After everyone is seated in the different areas of the sailboat, we release the moorings, hoist the sails, and start our adventure!
The itinerary is not rigid due to the constant changes in wind direction and intensity, as well as the sea conditions.
We sail towards the Cagarras Islands Archipelago to observe Humpback whales.
The sailing tour is contemplative, very peaceful and safe. People of all ages can participate.
Our sailboat is equipped with all mandatory and elective safety items, including life jackets. For greater comfort, participants can count on a bathroom on board and a covered area for sun protection.
